New Masterclasses at the Esztergom Liszt Week |
English text |
The Esztergom Liszt Week is pleased to announce that this summer, in parallel with the Liszt Festival, vocal masterclasses will be held at The Esztergom City Music School.
The Nándor Zsolt School of Music and the Arts in Esztergom is named after a well-known local violinist and composer born in the city in 1887, who also spent time in London as the leader of the famous Queen's Hall Orchestra. The School was founded in 1928, and moved to its present location on the “Kis Duna” (“Little Danube”), five minutes' walk from the centre of historic Esztergom, in 1973. The beautiful eclectic-style building which houses the school today, containing over thirty practice rooms and two concert halls, was quite literally built by local conductor Károly Reményi, his colleagues and friends.
